
Jerrod Mustaf - CEO/ President
Mr. Mustaf is a graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School where he was a 3-time All-American, Maryland State Player of the Year, Washington D.C.’s Mr. Basketball and the Potomac Valley AAU Athlete of the Year. Mr. Mustaf earned a scholarship to the University of Maryland where he led the team in scoring and was a 1st Round draft pick of the New York Knicks in 1990. Mr. Mustaf later played in the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns and won 2 championships playing in Europe. Mr. Mustaf finished his undergraduate studies in Sociology with a minor in Sports Management while playing in Europe.
Mr. Mustaf was a player representative for the Phoenix Suns, a counselor for the NBA Rookie Transition Program for 3 seasons and interned with the NBA Office and NBA Entertainment following each season. After retiring from basketball, Mr. Mustaf founded the Street Basketball Association and the SBA Sports Management Group. Currently, Mr. Mustaf is the CEO/ President of the Street Basketball Association, Sports Ambassador for the Republic of The Gambia.
Mr. Mustaf serves on the Board for numerous foundations. He was the recipient of the NAACP Lifetime Membership Award and was appointed the rank of Officer of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia. He is an active member of the NBA Retired Player’s Association, NAACP, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Black Sports Agent’s Association and the University of Maryland’s M Club.
